This term has been filled with a variety of activities, all of which have had the students exercising their independence. . . and taste buds!
Our art work has focused on The Olympics and as a result we’ve created the most colorful Mount Fuji’s as well some rather epic Olympic torches. When the weather has allowed it, we’ve grabbed the chance to do Sports which means breaking a sweat shooting hoops!
Our ASDAN Curriculum has been progressing along nicely and our Independent Living Skills has resulted in some rather delicious Lasagna and Brownies.
A real highlight this term has been the enjoyment of Sensory sessions with Amity and the Sensorium Gang. It’s been a real gift to see the students express themselves within the context of these highly creative sessions. Whether they break out in song or get up and dance it’s always a fun filled lesson.
We are looking forward to tackling book week later this term since this is always a great opportunity for individual expression as well as an awesome celebration of literary entertainment!
A special thank you to Leanne, Alana and Will, our Education Assistants, who have been having a lot of fun alongside encouraging all the learning.
