First term is almost over and what a term it has been – so busy with lots of new experiences. With the cooler weather we have enjoyed being out and about having fun in the playground. Richter and Mikayla had the biggest smiles on the Liberty Swing, Ben had a turn on the Sway fun and whether it be the flying fox or any of the other equipment Sam just loves being out of his chair. Thanks to the Harmony Day Committee who organized an awesome day. We had fun making orange hats to wear and how amazing it was to see students throughout the school coming in their country’s colours. We thought Dawn looked great. Harrison was very excited to press the switch to listen to how different countries say “Hello” and enjoyed his lamington cake. It is wonderful that our students have had the opportunity to mix with the rest of the high school. Tahlia is calm and happy as she joins the Yoga group during the week. It is also lovely to be included in the girls’ group where Dawn, Tahlia and Mikayla were all smiles as they hung out with the teenage girls, listening to music while being pampered. We were then rewarded with fried rice, which the boys had helped cook. Later that day we joined everyone in Fun Fridays. Friday is now officially our favourite day. In closing I just wanted to say thank you to all the parents for their ongoing support. A huge thank you to Kerrie, Deb, Sharon, Nicola and Kirstee the amazing team who give so much to our students and always with a smile. Finally, a safe and happy holiday to all.
